Favorite Drake memory: Going to a Strategic Command Conference with Professor Skidmore on the subject of nuclear deterrence; attending seminars on the nuclear triad, a tabletop exercise involving a nuclear catastrophe and meeting experts in the field of national security.

One tip for Drake freshmen: Make the time to talk to professors. Meet them outside of class time (despite Drake busy). Don’t be afraid to ask questions in or out of class. Life is more about who you know than what you know. I’ve said it for years and it has remained true: the single best thing about Drake is the professors. Take hold of that opportunity.

Plans after graduation: Job in Indianapolis area. Focus state lobbying or federal government.
